I Used to be a Fetus


As described in the book of Job in the Old Testament, there was a sort of game, a contest going on between Satan and God. Satan lost that fight too, as Job did not lose his faith no matter how bad things got. Satan still does that today, ruling this Earth by manipulating the populace, and Hollywood.


So back to the fetus.

  • How did so many of us become convinced that a human fetus is not a human life?

  • Weren’t we all a fetus at one time?

  • Isn’t a tomato seedling really a tomato plant, just a little?


In 1973, the manipulation continued until the U.S. Supreme Court decided: Since so many women are having back-alley (coat hanger) abortions anyway, let’s just make it legal. Many women would die from the back alley procedures, and did; so the court determined the human fetus really wasn’t a human life so the choice to destroy it should be a woman’s right. Somehow I missed that in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence.


Au contraire, Kemosabe! According to the Declaration of Independence, second paragraph:



“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”



I have to ask:

How can someone pursue life, liberty, and happiness if they’re dead?


I graduated from college in 1973 with a degree in zoology; and like so many young sponge-heads, I too bought into the sales pitch that since a fetus couldn’t survive on its own, it really wasn’t a “person” at all. Imagine this thinking, with a degree in the study of animal life. It was the devil at work. It was later that logic set in. If a fetus isn’t really “alive,” is it dead? I knew from Biology 101 that any fetus is alive until it’s not anymore.


Now, thanks to digital technology there is a great nine-minute video, From Conception to Birth, that shows life from the union of a human sperm and ovum to a zygote (union of sperm and ovum before dividing into four cells, then sixteen, thirty-two, etc.), to an embryo (after the first division), to a fetus (actually begins to look like a little-bitty person), and finally, birth.


The facts are, that a newborn child cannot live on its own either. So now there are “scientists” who believe it should be okay to kill babies for the same reason. The ancient Greeks did that.


Where will it stop?


“Parents should be allowed to have their newborn babies killed because they are ‘morally irrelevant’ and ending their lives is no different to abortion, a group of medical ethicists linked to Oxford University has argued.” February 29, 2012, The Telegraph


Since the Roe/Wade decision in 1973, there have been more than 54 million abortions in the United States. That’s 54,000,000. Do we really think there would’ve been 54 million back-alley abortions if abortion had never been legal?


The good news, I guess:

Most abortions do not occur in the United States. Eighty-three percent are performed in “developing” countries (third world). The U.S. only aborts 1.3 million children each year (3,700 per day), compared to 42 million each year, worldwide. That’s 115,000 per day. If anyone ever wants to know if the devil is alive and well, one has to look no further than the Holocaust and the 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision. That’s when the U.S. “Supreme” Court decided that a woman has a ”right” to an abortion without any interference from the feds.


One of the amazing things about the devil has been his ability to convince so many Christians, and some churches, that he doesn’t even exist. The Hollywoodites, who control virtually all media output, have done a good job of making a joke of God, a joke of His followers, and eliminating the belief in the devil. The devil to Hollywood is a vampire or werewolf, maybe a zombie. Just ask Bill Maher.



According to the Bible, the Devil is real and is mentioned many times throughout. He started out in the beginning as the most beautiful and important angel of all, and his name was Lucifer. We’ve all seen the pictures of the red man with horns and a long tail. This supernatural creature was created and loved by God, and I really doubt he ever had the tail and horn thing going on.


Unfortunately for Mr. Lucifer, he decided that God couldn’t do anything without him, so he rebelled; kind of like an employee who thinks his boss can’t make it without him/her, and quits. The employee loses the job, and the employer keeps right on kicking. Oops.



The devil, now known as Satan, lost that fight; and God kicked him out of heaven and down to our newly developing planet, Earth. Jesus said that Satan rules the Earth, but God rules the Universe.


The math is easy. Since 1973, there have been approximately 1.5 BILLION children aborted, worldwide. Isn’t it possible that out of 1.5 billion people, one of them might have found a cure for cancer, HIV, Morgellon’s disease, or who knows what? What happened to giving “it” up for adoption?


I live in Georgia, and until yesterday there was a State Bill 954 being proposed that would allow elective abortions only until the 20th week, instead of the 26th. It is now hung up in the Senate. However, as shown in the video, at 8 weeks the fetus is clearly formed, a child in waiting, a seedling if you will.


A few years ago, one of my aunts told me that she used to think I would have been better off had I been aborted. In 1947, just after World War II, I was certainly unwanted, an accident, and suffered the consequences throughout my childhood. But you know what? I’m glad I wasn’t aborted!! In spite of all things, I am glad I was given a chance at life, a chance to learn about God and the Son he was willing to sacrifice for me, and you.


I saw an interview once with a 16-year-old high school football player who was just happy to be alive, the progeny of a mother who was raped but decided to keep her child. Then there are the thalidomide babies.


Thalidomide was given to pregnant women from 1957-1961 for morning sickness and migraine headaches. The drug was deemed safe for pregnancy, but just the opposite was true. The result was tragic. Since abortion was illegal at the time, many of the children survived and still live today. These victims have appeared on various television shows, telling their stories and celebrating that they got the chance to live:


Do we think Sabine Becker is glad she made it? What about Marion Dia in Germany? How about these folk?


When the book of Revelation speaks of the plagues as we approach the end times, as described in the Bible, I can only believe that the deaths of 1.5 billion babies have not been pleasing to the Almighty.


Planned Parenthood does a lot of good things for women who need access to quality health but can’t afford it. They also perform about 300,000 abortions each year. I would prefer not to fund that, but we have no choice about that. Don’t taxpayers have the right to choose?

By the way, since I started writing this article three hours ago, there have been more than 6,000 abortions, worldwide.


This can’t be a good thing. How did we let this happen?


The same way we (Christians and Jews) let God get kicked out of the schools in 1963. Ten years later, this plague began. Here’s an idea: Since the majority of abortions are for birth control, make the “choice” before jumping in the sack, boys and girls.


I have opinions about abortion now that I didn’t have in the ‘70s and am not “pointing fingers” at anyone. And for those who believe it’s none of my business since I’m a “man,” make a baby without a sperm. Then get back to me.


We were all a fetus at one time in our lives.
